Our destination guide for Zurich!

When travelling we have three things we are interested in: What to Do, Where to Sleep and What to Eat.

We only spent a day in Zurich before getting on an overnight train, so we didn’t have a lot of time to explore too much! Here is a quick break day of what we did for the day and the links of where we went!

Lake Zurich Tour
We did a Lake Zurich tour to end the day. It was a little chilly on top, but we were able to see Zurich from a different perspective as well as have a nice seat for an hour or so.

We found some cute little colourful, cobblestones street to walk up and have a look around.

Then we walked around Bahnhofstrasse, which is the most expensive and exclusive shopping streets in the world. Obviously didn’t buy anything but it was nice to pretend we could as we walked past shops like Cartier, Hermès, Gucci, and so many more! There were lots of people with smaller than normal dogs walking in and out of the shops. Small dogs obviously have expensive taste.

Uetliberg – Zurich’s local mountain.
We climbed Uetliberg whilst we waited for our train. First we caught the train up the mountain before setting off to walk up to the top. The view was beautiful! We could’ve climbed to the top of the viewing tower, but I wasn’t overly keen on climbing all the stairs! So we just stayed on the ledge and had a look around at the views!

We didn’t stay the night when in Zurich instead we got on a Sleeper train to Hamburg, so can’t comment on where to sleep but there would be lots of nice options around the lake.

Holy Cow! Zurich. The food here was good! Jacob enjoyed his burger, and I enjoyed the fries. The atmosphere was good and there were lots of people eating in the restaurant, which is always a good sign!

Coffee! We had our coffee break at Tailor’s Coffee which is now unfortunately closed. The hot chocolate was fantastic and Jacob enjoyed his coffee!
